6 best ways to survive the hardship of fuel scarcity in Nigeria

For some days now, it's been suffering and smiling with my fellow Nigerians over the issue of fuel scarcity. I laughed my ass out when i saw some funny fuel memes on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram; but i was so disappointed in our government when i realised the issue had gotten out of hands.
Not only are the average Nigerians suffering from it, the rich Nigerians are also crying over the same issue. It has affected MTN, Airtel and Etisalat telecommunications, Banks and radio stations have started shutting down earlier than necessary, church choristers are now fast-forwarding their songs to manage fuel #lol, flights are being cancelled, and even an oyinbo (white) man was seen on a motorbike searching for fuel.

Time-lapse transformation of homeless vet makeover to see the potentials in people we ignore everyday. (Video + pix)

If there is one thing that'll make you cry in a feel-good kind of way today, it's this.
A 25-years-old American local video producer, Rob Bliss, has set out to prove that potential exists even in the people we ignore in footage that has quickly spread across the internet. The clip features a homeless U.S. Army war veteran, Jim Wolf, who struggled with poverty and alcoholism for years. While these internal struggle can take a long time to cast off and reverse, it took only a few hours in a saloon chair to change wolf, an homeless man, into an incredible handsome man with potentials.

Rob Bliss, the video producer, said he did the transformation because he was trying to get himself into doing things for a better purpose. "If I can only get people to look at any homeless person on the street and see the mirror image of them - the image of someone who would look socially acceptable - realise that potential, that 'what if,' and root for their success," Bliss said.

Since his makeover, Wolf will soon move into his own apartment and has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

While this transformation was for one man and the video encourages people to donate to a specific, local ministry, it also contains messages that reach much further.

One is that "an outward transformation is important, but an inward one is more important and the other is that hopefully, it will help to change stereotypes to give people a perspective that "everyone is worthy of being treated with dignity and respect."

Inspirational courage of black teenager who saved Nazi-tattooed man at KKK march from angry mob (Photos)

This amazing image of humanity and selflessness was taken in Ann Arbor, Michigan, during clashes between the Ku Klux Klan and anti-clan protesters in June 1996. It is an image of a black teenage girl shielding a supposed white supremacist from an angry mob.

In June 1996 the Klan held a rally outside the city hall with a small group of Klansmen dressed in white robes and hoods. Police dressed in riot gear and armed with tear gas were also present to protect the Klansmen from an estimated 300 people protesting against them. While the peaceful protest was going on, a large crowd of anti-clan protesters spotted a man with an SS tattoo and a confederate flag T-shirt and identified him as a probable Klansman; then a woman with a megaphone shouted, "There's a Klansman in the crowd." In a split second the crowd turned from peaceful protesters into an angry mob baying for blood.

Exchange A Service For A Hug, Help Someone & Make The World A Better Place Like Anthony Cymerys.

Today, i want to share a little story that inspires me a lot and makes me think really deep. It's about a treasure, an awesome and selfless man, who in his little way contributes greatly to lives and put smiles on people's faces.

I'm writing about an 82-years-old Anthony Cymerys in the above picture, who is also known as Joe the Barber. He began offering his service as a barber 25-years ago after he retired from a career in business.

Every Wednesdays, Anthony sets up a chair in the shade of an oak tree in Hartford's Bushnell Park. The homeless, longtime clients and those just passing by on luck had their haircut for just a token. The fee is always the same; A HUG FOR A HAIRCUT.

Isn't that just awesome? Now you understand why i called him a treasure. He is a rare gem and a treasure to our corrupt and selfish generation. Can you imagine what he exchanges for love? An hair cut.

Relationship Issues: Dissing To Naija Guys & Babes Who Marry For Names & Money. (A Must Read)

Don't mind this picture oh....Nigerians will photoshop anything photoshopable lol... but i love the concept sha.

The issue i want to hint on is about some of our naija guys and ladies who have nothing to write home about but they want someone to love them for who they are. Uhm...this is not funny oh..If you are one of such, REPENT!

Guy, before you ask a lady to love you for who you are, you should know who you really are.
You don't have a job, you have got no vision, no burning desire, not even an ambition, yet you keep saying you need a lady that will 'love you for who you are'. Uhm...Who are you anyway? Do you have an identity? I beg identify yourself and don't ask anyone to go on a suicide mission.

If all you have got to offer a lady is your SURNAME, uhm...i pity for you because your name will eventually become a SOURname if the lady mistakenly marries you for your father's name. #Trust naija women with their bad mouth#

Ladies, do you really know what you want in a man?

Oftentimes, when you ask a lady what she wants in a man,her response is always "i want an honest, faithful man…a man who will love me for me" (I'm not exempted lol) I think we are so shallow minded when it comes to making the right choice in a relationship or going into the right relationship. We are so caught up in our fairytales land and we forget that there are other factors we need to put into consideration because love is just not enough to make a relationship work.

Factors like:
Does he know your birthday?
Does he understand your moods?
Does he know your weaknesses and strengths?
What are his own dreams?
What is your role in those dreams?
What kind of person is he?
Does he smoke? Why does he smoke?
Does he drink? What makes him drink?
What is his lifestyle?
How does he fund it? What does he do for a living?
What does he want to do for a living? What does he want to do for a better tomorrow?

Touching Video: A companion to the forgotten.

Today being Good Friday, and the week of the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, what are you doing to live a Christ-like life?

How are you showing love to those in need of it? How are you living according to the word of God about giving?

I'm not referring to giving to your pastors or lovers here, rather, i'm referring to giving to those in need, bearing your neighbor's burden, sharing the little you have with those that have nothing....

The bible ordered us to give to the needy and less privileged in our society....
In Proverbs 22:9 - Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.

1st John 3:17-18 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Proverbs 14:31 Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Isaiah 58:10 If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

Proverbs 28:27 Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.

There is a gratification and a blessing that goes with giving, one does not need to be a christian for them to give because we have all got 5.5 litres of blood running through our vains and we are all human.

Below is a touching video of a selfless man. Happy viewing and Happy Good Friday!
